This Look Back

Let's evaluate where I was exactly one year ago today. Well, I had JUST bought a Jeep (the picture of Roxy I've added is on her first trip in the Jeep to the dog park last spring), was celebrating the birthdays of two of my dearest friends and was chasing after somebody like a dog chasing its tail. Stupid. They say trying something over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. I'm not sure who "they" are or where I even heard that, but I think it makes sense. Anyways, I've since stopped being insane and now I'm just crazy in love.

You know when everything around you starts looking, feeling, tasting and smelling better? I'm there these days and I have to say, I was SHOCKED at where it came from. I'm still working on forgiving myself for spending a year of wasted emotions on someone who could never love me back, because generally I consider myself too smart for that bs, but I'm only human. Now, I'm more concerned with the possibilities of the future and those who want to take that journey with me. So far, I'm amassing a wonderful little posse to take this awesome trip with me and I'm a blissed out chick.

Where were you a year ago? Were you happy? Are you happier today than you were? Have you worked on making positive changes in your life? Dwelling on the stupid stuff we've done isn't important. Learn your lessons and move on. Stop being insane by going over and over something in your head. People are who they are and trying to change them is just crazy. Focus your energies on yourself and make each year one with tremendous growth and positive change. You'll be happy you did. Start your year TODAY if so far 2010 hasn't been incredible for you. When you look back next year or years from now, don't you want to know you went out into the world and kicked ass?
